Created in 1817, the University of Liege is open to the world, a crossroads of teaching, research and innovation at the junction of international roads and European cultures.

Welcoming more than 24.000 students (nearly a quarter are of international origin), plus 1.400 teachers and 3.000 researchers, it offers one of the most diversified educational choices in French speaking Belgium as well as active teaching methods. ULiège has links with more than 800 institutions world-wide and is integrated in vast international academic and scientific networks, which makes it a fully engaged actor in the European higher education and research area.
